Lol nothings is up with him, he is just taking his time with signing. They wanna get the right term and salary. Your offer is way too little, he will make 8.5-9 for sure. Buffalo will sign him 7 years 8.75 mil would be my guess

LMAO "he is taking his time with the signing"

No, he's going to test free agency as soon as that opens up.

The payday is 6-7 years at roughly 8.5-9 mil. The Sabres can easily afford that

The Sabres will have the cash and space to sign him. I agree that $8,000,000 to $9,000,000 will be the range. The Sabres merely need to equal the best offer then add a year. Are there any Stanley cup teams that could offer more? Carolina? Colorado? New York Islanders? Philadelphia? Most teams are near the cap. If there are other teams please let me know.

Hawks have the space and are looking for a big scoring winger. Targets like Panarin, Skinner, Dzingel and possible a trade with Floriday for Hoffman are all in the cards. Skinner for sure will test free agency which will drive his price above his value.

I agree, Buffalo has many factors in its favor. He wanted to be close to Toronto, he had a career year playing with Eichel, Buffalo can offer him one more year than any other team and he really seemed to enjoy playing here. Then I wondered what would make him move, more money and playing for a Stanley cup contender. So I listed possible cup contenders that may have the space, I did not include the Hawks because while they obviously have talent, they were not a cup contender.

What I mean is not necessarily money but contending for a Cup.
