TBH I like that Toronto trade. Shattenkirk is not help but getting rid of Marleau contract is big plus.

The return from Ottawa and Winnipeg are bad. Vlad is a solid two way player that can play anywhere in the lineup and score 40+. Trouba is just about equal to value to Kreider so it doesn’t make much sense to add so much. The rangers do not want Kadri... no way.

The Toronto Trade is good. Shatty at 50% may prove useful and could easily be moved even if we had to retain a bit more.

Marleau goes back to The sharks at league min.

Any objections @Bcarlo25 ?

Yea, that was sort of my thought process there. Figured this trade helps TOR clear up nearly 6 mil in space while also addressing the right side of the defense with 2 D. Shattenkirk in a 5 or 6 role is not as bad as many of the people on here think.

And could be used on PP2 as well as 5v5. Good deal, nfc!!

Yeah I agree Kreider and Toruba are pretty equal in value. Trouba probably a bit more because he is a right shot D which are very valuable right now. Also WPG fans on here think his value is way higher than Kreiders so this is also trying to see what they think.

As for the OTT deal, listen in any deal to offload Smith they're gonna have to give up a nice piece. Vlad can play up and down the lineup and is a very useful player but NY has guys coming in that make him expendable. He is also on a cap hit that is a bit high so it'll be tough to get much of a return on him. This deal helps free up cap space while also bringing in a few picks.

Don't know why Rags wouldn't want Kadri. He's on a great team friendly deal for a second line center. Can produce offense, even though his numbers last season may not indicate, but he also probably suffered the most from Tavares coming in. Took away from a lot of his 5v5 and PP time. The stuff in the playoffs is unfortunate but he plays hard and with a chip on his shoulder. Would be great in Quinn's system. Don't think any of Chytil, Andersson, or Howden are ready to take over full time as 2nd line center.

Probably from Marleau but that’s about it. Do you really want shatty though?

Winnipeg doesn't need more wingers? So your trade for Trouba more then likely is a no go. Chevy will want a #2C prospect and high end D prospect for Trouba. Your deal doesn't cut it.

Sure, but if Winnipeg decides to address those issues with a trade involving Ehlers then I think this is definitely a great deal for them. Keane is an underrated prospect.

Yea the buyout feature only allowed me to buyout Marleau's entire 6mil contract, not sure if they would be able to extend it over a period of multiple years. Caps also supposed to be going up. Regardless Dolan has some deep pockets
