Im saying Johnsson bets on himself having another good year and signs a 1 year deal and gets paid next season when marleau is gone.

Dallas rejects that trade instantly. They aren’t “starving for quality centers”. Between Seguin, Hintz, Faksa, Dickinson, Dowling, and a couple of prospects that are NHL ready, they don’t NEED to make a move to pick up a center, especially at the cost of an elite offensive-defenseman.

Maybe if you started Marner for Klingberg and go from there you might be closer.

I'm always shocked by how Leafs fan overvalue their guys. Especially Kadri. I like you guys, really, but you have to realize that you aren't in a good negociating position to ask insane returns for guys like Kadri, Zaitsev or else. Get back to earth.

if you think any of those players are as good as kadri you are nuts (other than seguin, you could definately add to the deal but they need a solid number 2 center. his lat 5 seasons have been over 40 pts and hes on the 3rd line. if you think a 25 year old center with 1 30 point season is better than kadri i dont know what to tell you.

you look at anyone around the league he is a number 2 center on a good contract. also having 40-60 pt seasons at 4.5 mill i see giving up more maybe a prospect and a higher pick also but was just a starting point. not sure why you think kadri is worth a bag of pucks.

Why do you think the Ducks have to pay Kesler actual money? Ducks want cap space not Zaitsev.

First because he is a dirty player, second because he is bad defensively, third because you guys must dump him to resign Marner and if I know that, every other GMs does. So you simply can't expect a massive return for him.

How about a 22-year old coming off of his rookie season. He just put up 5 goals and 8 points in his first 13 NHL playoff games. Got moved up to the top-6 on March 12th vs. Buffalo. What has he done since then? 11 points in the final 14 regular season games. That means that since he's been in the top-6 he's put up 19 points in 27 games...as a rookie. Expand that over a full season and you're looking at at 58-point player, and he's only getting better. Dallas has no need for Kadri when they have a 22-year old Roope Hintz.

With Dellandrea hitting the NHL likely by the 2020-2021 season (though he's impressed and could jump into the conversation during training camp next season), Dallas has no need for a Center with 3-years remaining on his contract...especially not at the cost of one of the top offensive-defensemen in the game. You can adjust the trade all you want. For the pieces the Maple Leafs would be willing to move, they aren't getting Klingberg.

Kadri is pushing 30
Declining numbers
Undisciplined to say the least.
Not worth as much as you think I’d imagine

I wasn’t kidding. If you added four first rounders, they would have to think about it, but they might still say no
