I think Columbus needs a homegrown superstar and Lafrienere would be perfect and could get this team in to the playoffs as soon as 2020-21. I don’t think spending lots of money on UFAs is the way to build a contender, but that’s just me

I don’t believe it either, but just the way the team is sitting as a bubble playoff team, I think it’s easier to add a few guys on short deals and try to get into a playoff run. From the experience this year, and past couple they could be possibly st.louis of next year

id Keep Savard and Bjorkstrand. They’re good, but not good enough to ouch this team to the playoffs. No matter what happens you’ll need luck to win the lottery and they’ll be good players to have on the team if we do end up winning the lottery that’ll help get us to the playoffs. The rest of the moves are fine, just that 4th line is really bad.

I'm not sure how Habs fans will feel about moving Brook right now, but I think Murray would be a solid solid partner for Weber. Not sure I'm good with the conditional 1st considering Murray could hit 40 points but the Habs still miss the playoffs and it ends up a lottery pick, but I would highly highly consider Brook and a 2019 2nd (no conditions).

Maybe if u it became a first if Murray hits 40 and Hans make the playoffs?

I would argue that a guaranteed 2nd in 2019 is worth as much as a later 1st in 2020, but if push came to shove I'd probably accept a conditional 2020 1st if we make the playoffs and Brook for Murray.
