Marleau, the kings, Marner, and Winnipeg all say no.

That team also doesn’t get by Tampa or Boston

im just pointing out remeber when leafs signed tavares, and everyone said they wi the cup, well the leafs "Underproformed" this year they finished just like last year out in 7 to boston, and imo b/c toronto signed tavares they dont have enough for marner ATM... Sabres atleast had a better year from last year and actually show lots of improvment in the beging and somewhat at the end of the year

So let’s say st.louis wins the cup, how does this team compare to st.louis, probably matches up pretty good, except for grit, and being physical. So I would adjust a little or probably going to fall short imo

been saying this all year. Agree with you 100% that signing Tavares ruined their cap. and they finished in the same place as they did the year before

Improvement from beginning to end of year? You went from 1st in the league in november to 27th at the end of the season. Still bottom 5 again, I don't see much improvement there. Leafs took a team in the finals to 7 and nearly won in 6. Were unfortunate with the playoff system for the 2nd seed to play the 3rd. They need to get better because the reality is the system won't change at least for awhile, but still.

If some team offer sheets MM for 5 years 10.5M, I don't see why he wouldn't take it over your offer.

I don't see him signing with Toronto for less that $10.5M per year, regardless of the length of the contract.

If it's 10.5 I think the Leafs match, but if it's 10.8 I would take the 4 first round picks, I'll take my chances with an unprotected first rounder in the 2023 NHL draft.
