This would be my honorable mention. This trade did squat for us and cost us a lot.

I agree. The Teravainen trade was egregious asset management, but the Danault trade just confuses me beyond belief. I didn't really follow the Hawks in 2016, so maybe it made more sense back then, but I just can't find a single way in which we benefited

If the Hawks just stand pat at the 2016 TDL do they miss the playoffs in any of the following seasons since?

1.) Danault 2.) Teuvo 3.) Panarin. Danault trade didnt make any sense whatsoever whereas other trades kind of served a purpose but still stung.

Yep, just having Turbo wasn't going to miraculously save them once that pair of 10.5 contracts kicked in, and the game got fast enough to leave Seabs in the dust.

                1a. Tervainen
                1b. Danault
                3. Panarin
The Ladd trade in 2016 was also atrocious and never thought giving up a 1st rounder plus Dano was a good move.

I don't think the Ladd trade was awful, especially considering that no one jaw-dropping was taken with or after that first rounder (except DeBrincat, but you know....). The Danault trade was awful, but I don't think Danault is a huge difference-maker in terms of them making the playoffs, especially if Quenneville wasn't going to use him properly. If you undid the Teravainen trade, I think that gives us the best chance of staying in contention, it would be amazing to still have him.
