Agree, maybe even Kapanen, Bracco, and a pick. They have so much D depth they may want a couple forwards

Pesce for Zaitsev in any capacity is a complete non-starter hard pass situation. Better ways of doing this for both Carolina and Toronto.

That's actually worse than some of the moves I've seen.
Only Kappy here is an actually valuable asset, and middle-6 winger is not getting you a solid TOP4 D with great contract and potential to get even better...

Kapenen is probably the most vulnerable player in the league to receive an offer sheet. Offering him $4,227,437 or less is only going to cost you a 2nd round pick. Every GM in the league has probably figured this out so using him as bait to take Zaitsev's contract is not going to work

No interest in Zaitsev. They don’t need a D man coming back. Kap and a good pick. Or maybe Kadri. Or a couple of top end prospects. But i don’t see Canes trading Pesce unless there is still an issue there. Faulk more likely to be dealt.
