Certainly is. Don’t see Canes doing that though. Fleury and FW prospect for Gourde or JT Miller maybe.

I don't see Carolina taking that type of deal. Gourde is more of a secondary piece that plays well with top players. Moving a top prospect for him doesn't make a whole lot of sense

Okay, that fits this year but what happens in summer 2020 when Vasilevskiy, Sergachev, Cernak, Cirelli, Joseph, and a backup goalie need new contracts. Not to mention raises to prospects Volkov, Stephens, and Colton. You get about 1.83M from Carle's buyout finishing but Callahan's buyout costs 1.57M. And then Bean and Foote need large raises the year after that.

Tampa is going to need every cap dollar they have. They are going to have to trade Callahan in a cap dump and give up a prospect/pick.

Bad trade for Carolina.

Really gotta wonder what Gourde would be like on another team, I'd be wary of acquiring him.

Not a bad trade .. Gourde a 50 pt guy on Tampa . Which is about 40 pt on Carolina.. still Carolina needs a top 9 with PK ability and has extra D .. they cant keep them all .. if Faulk is resigned this deal possible.. also need to do by July 1 before Gourdes NTC kicks in

Think Carolina would prefer Miller, and the flexibility he brings. That said, I don’t think Bean is going anywhere after having a great first pro season in Charlotte.
