Edmonton gets two of the 3 best players in the deal and Nuge isnt that much better than Kreider to make the deal worth it.

Given the burden of his assignments and his linemates, RNH is not going to compare favourably to Krieder; he has played a very different role, and he's had to carry a lot of dead weight while doing it. Still, I think this deal heavily favours the Oilers. Moving Nugent Hopkins would suck for most Oiler fans, but it would be worth it if the return included a couple of forwards who make it possible to split McDavid and Draisaitl in order to ice two legitimate scoring lines. Puljujarvi says he doesn't want to be an Oiler, so getting prospects like Howden and Buchnevich is really a bit of a winfall.
