why does every toronto fan keep trading kadri away? (bruins fan asking a legit question) if kadri doesnt get suspended 2 years in a row you probably win both times.

Not trading Kadri for the suspension reasons, more for cap reasons. I'd rather move Kadri than Nylander or even Ziatsev where we can get an actual return. With 2 centers making 11 I'd be looking at having 3 or 4 players that play C,RW or C,LW at 1/2 million each

You have no idea what CBJ is doing, they are pretty much in a full rebuild with no high end picks won't be signing any UFAs the only real untouchable on CBJ is Jones, beyond that they'd be listening to everything

Funny how you just posted this about Zaitsev, I've been just messing around with the 2020/2021 Leafs.

I would argue Zaitsev being a more serviceable Dman than Ron Hainsey and Morgs turned him into a +30 guy this year.

Giving Zaitsev 1 more year with a bigger role would elevate his stock and reduce his contract to 4 years. In addition with Muzzin coming off the books next year and the cap increasing again, it could open up 8.5M+ to sign Alex Pietrangelo as a UFA.

Then he can play for the Islanders, y'all said the same crap last season about Nylander not taking less than 8 and whoops here is at 7

As a rival fan, kadri brings more to that team than nylander ever will. You would benefit 10x more from trading nylander and keeping kadri than reverse. you can probably get more for nylander too because of his age.

I would agree with Hanson493 & Roscoe. It's so tough to say with all the confusion involving Mr. Darren Dreger AKA Darren Ferris. It's safe to say Marner deserves 11 maybe even more but the fact is the deal hasn't been signed yet. He could get 11, maybe 10 or maybe even 9.5. Who nows what happens in the end guess we will have to wait and find out. I'm a 100% certain Marner stays wit the leafs in the end, it's widely known he is a Toronto boy who wants to play here. I'm confident the deal gets done and signs up to be a leaf next year and years to come. The whole offer sheet thing is a tool used by RFA player agents. Although I doubt an offer sheet will happen I see an offer sheet on someone like Sebastian Aho. But Still Aho did say he wold rather stay in Carolina so who knows.

Kadri is on one of the most team friendly contracts in the league, looking at it purely as s ratio of dollars spent : value of player, you'd have a hard time finding more than 30 guys above Kadri (excluding players on ELC's). That is not how you solve cap problems, you trade bad contracts not good ones.

I disagree, after these 7/8 60 pt RFA wingers all sign at 8 AAV Nylander becomes a steal, Nylander is a better player than Kadri and will always be better. Nylander is the only player the Leafs have that routinely exits the D zone and enters the O zone with the puck efficiently

I clearly have a better idea than you. Nut is very underrated on a great contract. And hes only 25 who shows that he keeps getting better, he is part of the rebuild. Why would they trade him for a 3rd line forward who doesnt show much potential to get better than that.

I would rather trade Nylander then Kadri. I like both of them, but I like the Leafs rolling with 3 good centres and Nylander frees up more cap and you get a better RD in return

I'm not saying in this financial landscape should he be paid 11 or more but if this was a luxury cap league with no cap hit limit he wold be paid more cuz superstars get paid in sports leagues
