This is a weird one. Good 4th liner, if he grows whatsoever, it's a good contract. If stays the same it's market value. If he regresses (the most likely) it's a bad contract.

I could've done without the extra year (or two), but the cap hit is good and his strengths (D-zone and PK) will serve the Caps well. Bonus points to GMBM if this means that Stephenson no longer plays NHL minutes for the Capitals.
