I don’t think they can be offer sheeted since they’re going to arbitration. If I’m wrong on this then those are easily matched.

Seriously like why would he sign a $1M×1 year deal?
It makes no sense, what am I missing?

Actually, we had thought of creating a GoFundMe page to create a fund to keep Pavs around since it would all be tax free money to him but we didn't have enough time to do it...

Obvious guess is he took a discount so that they could keep the rest of the team together. He also can get paid big next summer

Im starting a GoFundMe for Labanc. Your explanation might be the most logical reason why he signed for so little. Gee I was surprised Heed as a UFA signed for so little also.
Maybe Marner see this and signs for 2m for one year.....heck the Leafs can get him for. 4m X 7 now that Lebanc has set the precedent.

1. Didn’t see offers from other teams
2. Likes where he’s at but on a cap restricted team
3. Took a contract betting on himself & will probably have a good year if he stays in the top 6
4. I think will see 70+ points next year

I'm frankly unsure how RFA works in the NHL, I hope someone can refer me to links and/or can explain it thoroughly to me
