capfriendly wouldnt let him offersheet if it wasnt possible to do so. he isnt offer sheeting point, he is trading for his rights in lieu of an offer sheet.

The Mitch Marner Offersheet is his picks. Brayden Point was an actual trade for his rights. I don't think you completely understand.

I think if you're offersheeting Marner for 12 mil might as well get him for 7 years.
and same with Point. Don't give them 5 give them 7. At the end of those deals they will still be under 30

Traded Anisimov and tierney 7M$ free up cap space. Ottawa will need to pay 17M$ for 2 young stars (8.5 each). If i’m dorion that’s the way i would explain the situation to Melnuyk maybe he can get confused and accept. XD

Idk about u but outside of chabby and that first line not many players are very good. Obviously brannstom has potential but won’t be elite right away
