Careful...
Schneider has not looked even half as good as he was before his hip surgery. I guess this becomes trading one injury prone goalie for another injury prone goalie.

Schneider was great in 2nd half and at Worlds. He may not be a top-5 guy anymore but looks fine now.

I want the Devils to fo this deal. But that's because I'm a Ranger fan.
Why trade a 1st and an outstanding prospect for a 33 yr old goalie? The Devils aren't contending for a Cup this year. But they have s nice base of young players with an obvious superstar in the making. Let these guys play into a playoff team and then if you still dont like your goalie situation you can make a move like this.
