Mathieu Perrault dont have much value at this point. Overpaid bottom 6 guy and Win needs cap space. I cant see them trading him and get good assets back. Maybe a 4th ?

Over $10M for either guy seems like a lot. I also think Roslovic should be given the look at 2C to start the year. He's played very well when he's been up in the lineup, and they can't afford to keep trading pay first round picks for a 2C at the deadline. It's time that they give Roslovic a look and see if he can really thrive there. I think he's got the skillset to do it well.

These Roslovic for Pulujarvi trades are just dumb, so far in their short careers Roslovic has put up better numbers and can play center which is a position the Jets are weak at throughout the organization so trading him for Pulujarvi and his potential/top 5 pick pedigree would be pretty stupid.

Also there's the fact that Puljujarvi needs a contract and Roslovic is still on his ELC, that makes a big difference to a cap crunched team like Winnipeg even if Pulujarvi won't be getting that large of an increase.

And the discussion around "they've both requested trades/need changes of scenery" is pretty dumb as well. Like who cares? They're rfa's with no arbitration rights, you want more ice time, earn it and in Roslovic's situation he'll very likely get it this season.

overpay for sure IMO.
That Matty P deal is a read head scratcher
Jack Roslovic has more upside than Jesse P IMO, that could change, but jets needs a 2C and Roslovic should have the opportunity to take it
If Im the jets I would have arranged for Copp and Roslovic to skate with Laine and Ehlers all summer in hopes that they develope chemistry
