Habs aren't trading Price any time soon barring a solid offer. Until he completely falls off the edge, he's still and will be one of the best goaltenders in the league and a staple here in MTL.

Its either full value or they'll gladly just keep him and deal with his contract when the time comes.

Neither team accepts, sure the Lucic contract sucks but Valimake and Hanifin carry far to much value to go from a 2.75M rookie goalie coming off a great year to a 10M vet dven if he is one of the best. Flames didnt trade Valimaki for Stone (a position in need) and i doubt they will for Price (a position less in need).

Why

Funny enough I had the same questioning and started receiving stones. I think Rittich is a tad too risky at this point has netminder consistency over multiple seasons make the difference between a journeyman and a real starter. Also, I don't feel Calgary is enough in a win-now situation to actually pay enough for MTL to accept, or at least I would not accept if MB. I like Hanifin but he hasn't proved he could be an elite D (even though all his tools screams it) and don't know enough about Valimaki.

Just hinting at that type of trade proves that your hockey skills are underwhelming at best. Sure your not at the helm of the Habs.
