Just for chuckles, look if some team had offered Pittsburgh 10 first round picks for Crosby, then presume those picks would have Pittsburgh's (because they were the team that drafted him, so their record would most likely be the team's record who had him). Which would you have wanted, Crosby or the 10 picks? There were some good players among those 10, but I would rather have Crosby. All the picks in a draft are not normally enough to move up from where MTL is most likely to finish this year to the first over all.
2005 Jakub Kindl (I picked a mid round player because the team that would do this would most likely be close to a Stanley Cup team, the balance were PIT picks)
2006 Jordan Staal
2007 Angelo Esposito
2008 Daultan Leveille
2009 Simon Despres
2010 Beau Bennett
2011 Joe Morrow
2012 Derrick Pouliot
2013 Morgan Klimchuk
2014 Kasperi Kapanen
One would think, wow ten first round picks for Sid the Kid, not enough right.
I do not think any team would make this trade, what do you think? Obviously if EDM had accepted the offer for Yakupov it would have been very good for them, but Nail is not Sid.
Maybe Edmonton would have been better taking the 10 for McDavid considering how poorly they are playing.

are you saying kings get the 1st overall pick?

Imagine if the Kings Did that trade?
That wouldn't be a good Idea, like say some team traded all there 2015 picks for McDavid.

I remember when Garth Snow offered all of their picks (including the 4th overall) for Nail Yakupov.
