My sources tell me than McAvoy will only re-sign if Jack Edwards retires. "it's worth it not to have a contract then having that dullard commentate my games" -Charlie McAvoy

This is literally perfect. I’d prefer Mcavoy get 8 years, but if this is what it takes, I love this lineup. This is the best bruins acgm ive seen in months

I would give McAvoy 8 years, and more money, but that's just my personal opinion.
He is playing so good... every time i see him... Worth every penny and he is young!wink

That's the speculation because he already turned down a 7yr deal. I think 4 years is the sweet spot. Leaves him at RFA status but a lot more money is available to pay him like a #1...assuming that's what he still is when he's do again.

Give bridge to McAvoy. Long-term to Carlo. Doubt Studnicka plays L1 even if he's ready.

Most importantly, put Heinen RW, Cehlarik LW and knock ritchie

that report that he turned down a 7 year deal was also pure speculation.

well he said he wants to play forever, that doesn't really mean a single thing about his desired contract duration.

4 years gives him the ability to take his qo or go to arbitration and get ufa status. No thanks. 1,2,3, or 8 is ideal

You were just commenting that 8yrs would be better.

I think he may want a shorter term. Maybe even 2 yrs. think his season wasn’t what he wanted and with the injury it kind of set things back. Two years on the top pair then sign a big 8 yr deal.

well, i mean he's been on the top pair for 2 years already, but I agree.

In no way does, "I would prefer 8 years," mean that McAvoy would prefer 8 years. I'm not Charlie McAvoy.
