No reason to move picks both ways. If anything kase for Faulk alone is an overpayment by Anaheim

I agree. Kase has shown he has potential to be a really good NHLer and will get more opportunity with Perry gone. Faulk is a good dman, but I dont think ANA is in a hurry to trade one of their young players on a good deal and under team control for him.

I'd swap Dzingel and Kase on those lines. Great trade for the Canes.

Kase's value took a major hit with the shoulder injury. It is possible Anaheim wants to move out of that roll of the dice before it possibly blows up in their face... cash in while ahead. Carolina needs to cut cap, Faulk has been on the hot seat and is a UFA that most likely will not resign.

If Anaheim wants this deal it could be 1-for-1
If Carolina wants this deal it could be Kase for Faulk + 3rd.

I’d think Carolina would be sending the better pick to Anaheim. Imo Kase is much better than Faulk.
