Yeah it was just ridiculous people expecting Laine's production last year to be his ceiling or whatever. So, many things went wrong last year, I expect him to be a 40g 30A player every year at least

Oh I agree 100%! He had a down year, but I fully expected him to bounce back and well...even though it's only 5 games in, he IS leading the league in scoring hahaha.

I kinda wonder what the 8x ask was by laines camp last summer, Or if it was bridge talk the entire time, I was hoping for a 8x9.25 to be announced, before the season, a million more than wheeler and locked up. But jets took a different approach, hopefully all works out

Laine is gonna end up with 10+ mill on his next deal which will be 8 years long

I just really hope he continues to play this way. I do think that he does need to take that next step over the next year to drive this line for him to be getting 8x11

His play on the third goal last night had nothing to do with Scheifele and Wheeler. It was all Laine playing with a swagger again. Great to see. 4 points, 8 hits.

He is starting to drive the line, which is something he wasnt really doing last year. sure playing with 55 and 26 would make anyone better, but he's doing a lot of work that has nothing to do with those two. He was a beast last night and super fun to watch. The snipe...the dangle...the 8 HITS
