Gee, how much would the Leafs have to give up just to the trade the even worse Barrie. Ceci hasn't been the Leafs worse Dman this seasons.

It is Ceci's contract that is the issue. He makes far too much money for what he provides to this team. He has to go. There are others within the organization that can fill a bottom pairing RHD role.
