Just too many teams in the Conference ahead of the Sabres for the Sabres to really make a playoff push.

We have 9 of 10 at home coming out of the break, mostly again bad teams with skinner and then olofsson back. If we go 7-2-1 or something I'll listen to the optimists, but I'm not hopeful

Undervaluing our players seems to be a pastime here . Get us a 2c. With 2 top 6 wingers coming back a winger is not priority. .

All our players are so undervalued. Must be why we keep making deep playoffs runs.

Yep. Last thing the Sabres need is a ~30 goal scorer...

Not a rental center . Stop thinking short term . You want as least as much term as Risto has . Buys time for Cozens , Middlestadt. and Davidsson

Your continually under valuing what few valuable trade assets we have is laughable. Risto is playing at a different level this year. And Pronger was just becoming Pronger at Risto's age and played on much better teams. As far as Thompson . I still see potential . Why sell low ? His play in Rochester was coming around and it ..Unfortunate injury side lined him He had a late growth spurt that led to his awkwardness. Chara went through the some thing and the Islanders gave up on him far too early. Most of your proposals wreak of desperation. I am for building for long term success not a valiant eigth place run and a first round exit.

I'm not undervaluing him. I'm trading him for a 60 point 24 year old who is locked up until he is 30 at great money.

Ristolainen has been playing better. But that's not saying much. Hes a #4 defensemen who can chip in on the power play.

You keep bringing up one or two exceptions. Chara was drafted 24 years ago. He also was an nhl regular by age 20

Then who's that 2C with similar term as Ristolainen?

Make the ACGM and let's see what the CapFriendly critics have to say about it.

None that are currently on the market right now that need what we are selling. The sad fact is the real moves can not be made till this summer and we get out from under all these contracts

I will add, in the last 24 hours, you have chaffed at the valuation of ristolainen, of mittelstadt, of B and C prospects like Tage Thompson and Marcus Davidsson and of all our pending UFAs.

How are all of our assets "undervalued" but we suck so bad every year?

Ever think its your valuation that is off?

Our team is still being built and lacks a few key pieces . We have been handcuffed by the cap . It sucks spending over 11 million on 2 players that are a 4th liner and a 7th defenseman that should be costing us 2 million combined Your impatience makes you under value things . A few of these players still need development as Middlestadt and Thompson , better to spend the time developing them than giving up on them and giving them away. The only reason they made the roster last year was we lacked NHL bodies due to Murrays overpayment trades and bad drafting . It has left a huge hole in the system that can only be filled with drafting and developing. Your trades are too much like Murray's in his accelerated rebuild and we all know it set the team back 5 years in their development . Is that your goal to achieve that disaster again ?

Trading people for 24 year old 60 point players who are on great contracts until they are 30 years old is the exact opposite of giving them away.

Thinking Tage Thompson is going to turn into a top 6 forward 5 years after his draft year despite showing very little is the definition of overvaluing,

Thinking Rasmus Ristolainen is going to turn into a #1 RHD after 500 games played is the definition of overvaluing.

Waiting to move on from players until everyone has figured out they have no value is harmful.

The Ryan O'Reilly trade set the team back 5 years. And paying 9 mil a year to a non center. Two draft picks for a healthy scratch dman.

All 4 trades are rejected by the other teams. So all your developmental guys will be sitting there available for Seattle.

Tage Thompson put in a strong 6:59 this season before getting hurt. So there is a?ways that to build on...
