I'd imagine any deal the Jets made this season would have to be substantial in order to get them into the playoffs. Thinking the deal would need to start with Jeff Petry.

There are a few RD ufa's come July...If MTL doesn't think that they will make it to the playoffs, this will be fine....or they have enough draft capital that they can get a RD on term...

Feel like MB would target Heinola+ for Petry

This is why i dont see Petry getting moved. He would need a monster return considering his valuable to the Habs.

I am ok with this. Just proves any deal on this site where its Petry for market value isn't close to making it happen.

According to? The fact he is under contract for a few more months and shouldn't be talking about how pumped he is to come to NA?

Creating two holes and Lowry wouldn't even fill one. No points. Not to mention we are trading a quality pick as well.

If he wanted KHL millions over the NHL, he would have already extended. His game relates better to North American hockey and he has always mentioned his goal is to play in the NHL. He has come to development camps (but not allowed to skate). I am not sure what else you expect from a player that is still under contract in the KHL.
