If Eichel ever did demand out, core pieces would have to be a part of it. It not from the canes from someone.

Think it's a fair offer. Canes might have to some cap though such as Dzindel to make it work. Sabres would never get ice immediate on ice value for Eichel, but freeing about 7m in cap space...spend that wisely this summer, and then it really helps next year.

Bogosian wanted out because hes the 9th dman and they had no reason to play him other than to showcase him, in which he was terrible and nobody wanted him. Hes coming off multiple surgeries and wanted playing time to earn himself another NHL contract somewhere. He wanted out because no one wanted him here and their was nowhere for him to play. Eichel isnt and never will be in that situation so i dont see any similarities

So you were paying him 5+ to sit in the press box, and he STILL wants out.....

Sharks decline, 2nd needs to be this year and McGinn isn't worth much.

Then make it a conditional 1st if he re-signs and bite the bullet on McGinn's cap hit

You're agreeing with me. Even someone with one of the worst contracts in the league, who you pay MILLIONS too to watch hockey games wanted to leave buffalo. Does that not scream out how bad the organisation must be? Even if it's just do to mismanagement, it's damming

Not paying him now . And Bogosian is not Eichel . Shadow of his former self that will be a UFA. No one wanted his contract for free !

I'm not. He wanted out, you can try to justify it, but he wanted out. That means you couldn't pay someone 5. something Million to stay in buffalo. Just cause you're in denial doesn't make it untrue.

Buffalo is not stagnant . Franchise is heading in the right direction . Still trying to dig out of the last GM's failed accelerated rebuild. Tim Murray set this franchise back 5 years with horrible trades and even worse drafting after the first round. Facts matter.

Right, 8 years of missing the playoffs isn't stagnent? You're stagnent. You have playoff ambitions yet are a bottom 5 team,

Maybe you should know the facts before making statements . We had a GM that tried to accelerate the rebuild and set it back 5 years. Botterill has drafted well and cleaned up the cap hell . We finally have cap room this off season. Facts matter.
