Assuming the Leafs do not make the playoffs, Ray Shero will be taking over the club after the season is done. Mark Hunter is not a NHL-caliber GM. He's a great right-hand man and has a great eye for talent, but he's not a top NHL executive.

This move is predicated on the Leafs not making the playoffs. So, that's still a big IF. There's been plenty of hockey people to report and note that Dubas is on the hot seat here. Shouldn't come as a shocker to anyone.
