Adding a player who takes an insane number of penalties to a team with a terrible Penalty Kill seems like a bad idea.

Corey Perry is a warrior and the kind of player that all teams want when the going gets tough. He has scored a ton of goals and played on alot of winning hockey teams including Stanley Cup and Olympic gold winning teams so there is absolutely no hesitation in adding a player with his resume to the Leafs.

If Perry is such a valuable playoff piece,, why do the Stars trade him, especially for nothing?

I know he takes alot of penalties but he is still a big game type of player as well as a really nasty player to play against and just the type of player the Leafs could use on their team.
