Caufield have the potential to be a 40+ goals scorer and Suzuki to be a 90 points scorer, I'll take 2 guys who can put up 160 points than 1 guy who could score 100 points

Who cares? Mantha and Zadina have potential to be 40+ goal scorers as well, Doesn't mean it'll happen. Lafreniere is still by far better then those two will ever be. And if Detroit gets Lafreniere he's not being moved for anything the Habs would've to offer.

Get real you honestly think that the #6-#8 overall pick plus Montreal's 2021 1st round pick could be anything from 5-20+Poehling+Chicago's 2nd round pick is worth Alexis Lafreniere. Dude not even close to being fair. Right now Poehling has proven nothing 5 points in 28 career NHL games is nothing to right home about.

6-8 oa is one of Rossi, Lundell, Askarov, Drysdale, Raymond or Perfetti... Not saying that any of them has Laffy's potential, but they're all potential first liner and some of them might become 90pts player in the NHL... AL is a late and might become a 100pts winger.. Does a lets say 80 pts Perfetti + a 45-55 pts Poehling + an unprotected first (might be another top 10 pick) + a second worth less than a 100 pts... Sure not. Its, worth way more.
