Trade w/ COL

Created by: Arom5477
Team: 2016-17 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 1, 2016
Published: Aug. 1, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
COL doesn't trust Varlamov can split time w/ Fleury. Rumors of trading Landeskog. Barrie most likely dislikes COL due to offseason. Pickard as backup. Kunitz salary dump, veteran who scores for COL. Daley solid D-man for COL. Guentzel=great prospect for COL. Picks to entice the deal. If you think the picks are too much and give away future; Ladeskog and Barrie are very productive, high drafted players. Both are young, so its basically accelerated draft picks. So no future lost.

Seems like a solid way to blow up a championship team... Don't see this happening.

My thing is, the likelihood of Pens repeating is slim. It just isn't feasible in the salary cap era. And I know no one likes to think about moving on from Crosby, Malkin, Letang, and Fleury, but replacements to these core players need to be made eventually. Landeskog can replace Crosby/Malkin, Barrie for Letang, Murray for Fleury. And its still a very competative roster.

you are so off on your analysis of the Avs

Roy trusts Varly, openly praises his goalie, and stands behind him, so thats wrong. There was no attempt to trade Landeskog, as that was Mirtle who tried to be an insider and it blew up in his face being false. Barrie just said he has a healthy relationships with the Avs and Sakic, as this was business filing for an arbitration.

YOU should at least know something about the avs factually if you are going to make all these claims like they are the trust. -8 Stars just for being so bad....also the proposal itself is laughable so be better

It seems like a slim chance, but you also don't see a championship team retain all but one (possibly 2 if Cullen sign elsewhere) players going into the next season. Cap space isn't much of an issue right now, forward and defensive depth is there, and we have arguably the best goalie tandem in the league. I think all GM JR needs to worry about right now is what to do to avoid losing a goalie to expansion, and possibly signing a depth defenseman.

Nope, I didn't tell you to delete your account....yet, but come on dude, you spit out false facts about a team then try to pawn off older unwanted spare parts from the Pens for the Avs young cost controlled core players.
Calling you out on the bad trade, simple as that

Have you seen Varalmov's numbers?? They're ugly. With Barrie: of course he's going to say there are no problems; that's what hockey players do (Kessel?); With Landeskog: Where there's smoke, there's fire.
