Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 4, 2020
Published: Mar. 18, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Using the low end cap for next season.

- Resigned Chara (he'll be 44 next year what a legend) for $1M but would be comfortable giving him up to $2M.

- Halak could be resigned with the same price, but he deserves more on the market with his great play. I signed Craig Anderson, see how he can do in a backup role, but honestly any backup for under $2M works with Tuukka leading the way.

- Traded Bjork for Josh Anderson. The rest of the deal could be completed with some minor picks for either side, assuming Boston sends more. Just imagine Anderson regaining his form from 2019, and creating a monster 3rd line with Ritchie, and Coyle.

- 4th line RW is wide open, I know he's struggled but I really liked Senyshyn when he played up this year. Great speed, and hard worker. Could give him a legitimate shot, or turn to Studnicka (should be given more than 4th line role), Federic, resign B. Ritchie, lots of possibilities.

- Numbers for Debrusk, and Grzelcyk are fluid but assuming they can get around these numbers depending on term.

Bjork is better and will be cheaper than Anderson. Why bother?

I see no scenario where Studnicka isn’t on the team next year, and I really doubt that they’ll have Wagner spending much time at center.

Also, i think all bets are off at what the cap will be now. Could be considerably less.

Columbus would rather just have a draft pick for Anderson... we have no interest in adding more wings at this time.

Yeah I can't see the Columbus trade but they have a ton of middle 6 wingers kuhlman, bjork, debtusk, kase, ritchie, plus stud so they have a lot of options.

Bruins are not giving up Bjork for Anderson after this season. Try Bjork for Anderson and a 3rd

Also Anderson isnt getting more than 2 million after this past season.

You are way too high on Krugs deal, but a little low on both debrusk and griz's deal.

Other than that, I like it... Throughts on studnicka???

I don't really see where Studnika will fit into the lineup at this point. Bergeron, Krejci, Coyle down the middle and I don't really see the purpose of moving him to the wing unless it's a necessity. So, unless Kase really doesn't play well, and gets moved again I don't see the point. The B's look better with Coyle at center rather than on the wing. I would much rather him playing 18 mins a night in Providence than 10 in Boston. My guess is that he'll start next season in Providence, and will eventually work his way into the lineup due to injury's and what not.

Want nothing to do with Josh Anderson. The guy is one of the most over hyped players (especially among Bruins fans) and I just don't see it. The guy had one good year and has been average the rest of his career. No thanks.

I think we could see Coyle shift back to RW next year. If you look at the advanced numbers, Krejci has some of his best metrics playing with Coyle. They could also move him to 3RW along side Studnicka. That way Stud's as an on ice mentor

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
DeBrusk - Krejci - Coyle
Bjork - Studnicka - Kase
Ritchie - Kuraly - Wagner
