You're a hawks fan so I'm quite surprised that you are short selling your players. Those don't entirely seem like cap moves, so why are you doing them?

Saad is worth way more then a 2nd, if we were to trade him it would be like the Zucker trade.

Its a really big feelsgoodman when someone not of this fan base realizes that Saad and De Haan aren't just cap dumps and we can get more than butt cheeks for them

To prepare to get aggressive for 2021 off-season and to sell high on Saad while the $6mil still holds value. 2021 will have a lot of goalies hitting Free Agency with the likes of Andersen, Binnington, Raanta, and Rittich just to name a few...I fully expect the Hawks to go after a big name goaltender while Kane and Toews are still in their prime.

Trading DeHaan and Saad also free up enough cap space to re-sign Kubalik and Strome which will command $10mil total, so dumping $10mil with Saad and DeHaan while they still have value albeit expensive contracts seems like the right move. I would be shocked if we got anything higher than a 3rd for De Haan knowing his injury history. In Saad's case, he's been inconsistent since coming back, but seems to have new life this year, so I figure his ceiling is a 2nd rounder. Connor Murphy is the only other Hawk worth trading for assets but he's our most consistent RHD so I figure it's worthwhile to hold on to him.

If I’m the Hawks I try to do the impossible and get somebody like Detroit to eat Seabrooks contract. But that isn’t likely.

We would have to package a high-end prospect and probably a 1st or multiple 2nd Round picks. lol

I see that, but I think their value is higher than that. I feel like Saad can get either a roster player or prospect on top of that 2nd. I've liked the idea of sending him to the Hurricanes for some package including Dzingel.
DeHaan could probably also get a 2nd or a different roster player who is worse but cheaper.

I would trade Maatta long before De Haan personally.

Detroit can't afford to take Seabrook. Neilson, Abdelkader and Helm all over paid and unmovable.
