He's an elite goalie, he isn't even 30 year old, he has a fair AAV and he's been having a Vezina caliber 19-20 season while playing behind one of the worst d-cores in the league

Yeah perhaps after he wins 5 cups, But noway is he worth that much right now that's just crazy.

Considering the best goalie last year (Gibson) was among the worst this year, I wouldn't put much trade value into a goalie. This is also coming from a fan of the team who just won the cup with a guy that was on waivers last October so my "goalies are voodoo" opinion is strong. If I were a GM, I'd draft a goalie in the 3rd or 4th round every year, and if none hit and I really needed one externally, I'd find a 1B type around the league who is ready for a bigger role (think Andersen or Grubauer) and trade a late 1st or early 2nd for him. Trading for Hellebuyck would be too costly, and he could fall apart just as easy as he built himself up this year.

Would love to bring him home to Detroit that's for sure, But Chevy would probably ask for some insane offer. And we'd say heck no.

I'm a Jets fan but I've never been a Helly fan and yes he's been good this season but idk if I'd say he's been overly impressive, there's really only been one game that I think he really stole and that was against the Sharks, he really did save them that night.

I could just as easily see him struggle next season, really think they overwork the poor guy though and should give Brossoit more starts, really hoping Berdin steals Helly's job and they trade him to Detroit for Hronek and a 2nd.

I always chose him in a fantasy draft challenge in nhl 20 best goalie on the greatest contract. If he plays good Winnapeg will win the cup

The problem is, goalies have very little trade value relative to skaters. Regardless of how good they are. He would get a 1st+ but probably not as much value as he holds for the Jets
