i mean, he's an absolute train wreck full of on fire dumpsters in his own end, but his offence is worth about that. Sure.

You clearly dont know what youre talking about lmao. The only problem he has is that he cant keep pace anymore. He's still smart and makes good plays, hes just not fast enough, which is the hope that having both hips reconstructed will help with that

riiiiiight, so he cant keep pace anymore, he's not fast enough gets totally caved in on chances and shots against, has recently had both hips rebuilt and that changes what i said how? He's bottom of the league defensively and at 34 years old is hoping major reconstructive surgery works but is still "smart" enough to make a good pass or blast a good shot. He's worth about 1x1 until he proves he's more robocop than spare parts bin.

you said he was full of dumpster fires, which isnt true. He is not the source of the problems, he just doesnt help solve those problems. The problems in this case being turnovers. He is still a very smart defender and does 2 on 1s very well and can hold his own in the corner. He just cant keep up with the rushes

he cant move well enough to defend. He is not full of dumpster fires, he IS dumpster fires, in a train wreck, because without the puck he is absolutely useless and cannot catch anyone and he moves laterally at a speed that wouldnt worry a snail. Even if he's initially positioned correctly because of his brain, his body cannot compensate for any movement at all, any league average skater turns him into a pylon simply by changing the angle or turning. Holding your own in the corner is only as good as long as the puck is in the corner, and he's not fast or agile enough to hem anyone into a corner who isnt already hemmed in by a forward.
He is proof positive just how important even a tiny bit of skating is worth in today's NHL.

I wouldn't waste your time with this guy. He watches like 2 games then he thinks he knows everything there is to know about the players on the ice. He's a Maple Leafs fan too so that explains most of it.
