I think the Habs having to add a 2nd rounder is a little rich personally but for the sake of simplicity I'd be ok with this at the end of the day.

Another brutal trade for the Habs. Do people forget that Drouin was set for a career year before injury? Or the fact that Strome had barely broken 30 points in his career before being with Panarin?

Also going to add that Strome is useless on this Habs team and would just be a 4th line center as he isnt as good as Danault, Domi or Suzuki that would all be above him on the depth chart before being passed by KK the year after.

So all in all, this is a useless trade for MTL

As for the trade. It's an interesting idea. From the CHI point of view...the cap is still a big issue. Drouin's still making $5.5M. CHI would need to put in serious work elsewhere to make the cap work. And that would kinda defeat the purpose of the trade. I'm positive CHI would love to keep Strome. Having that center depth is a great thing, but the reason he's getting traded so much is the cap.

What’s Wrong with you?? Strome Never plays with panarin... you Know i’m talking about Dylan

A little rich for my blood too (Would do it with a 4th and we keep 500k? or WAS' 3rd with no retention)
All in all trading Sergachev and a mid pick for Strome would be -somewhat- fair.

I really don't like that line up doe. I'd rather keep Domi at 3C (He didn't seem to enjoy being pushed to LW last year), push all LW up a notch and leave KK mature in the minors longer. To get depth and size you could sign a Clifford, Thompson or Maroon for cheap.
