Description
SJS Deal
NYR improves top 6 scoring with Labanc, and get a 2nd rounder. SJS gets a potential middle 6 forward in Andersson and perhaps their future starter in Georgiev.

CGY Deal
Classic swap we've seen on here with Hanifin for Deangelo. I personally think Hanifin may hold more value because Deangelo has a smaller sample size. Deal could even be 1 for 1, just balance out each team's left and right d.

WPG Deal
Get rid of Smith retained, and give up Strome. Strome's a good player but I think paying his value right now would be hard considering they have Chytil on the way. NYR will give Roslovic a chance as a 2C but he can also be moved to the wing. NYR upgrades their 3rd rounder into 2nd round.

Deangelo isnt that good, his defence is terrible and his offense is good. Hes worth exactly Hanifin but hes not as good as guys like Werenski, Rielly or anyone like that

Have you seen his analytics and those of his partner? He was a way above average d-man this season

So a top 6 forward and a early second round pick is worth a backup goalie and a ahler? San Jose won't even consider this

Yes but is he a #1D man? Nope. Is he a #2, i doubt it. He can be a #3 if he improves his defensive side of the game

let me start by saying I like ADA and don't necessarily want to see him go - would be nice to see him on the left side but not sure that is a long term option.

all things considered, i don't think it is a bad trade. Trouba isn't going anywhere, for better or worse, and Fox is a better option over either Trouba or ADA.
Rangers would be dealing from a position of strength to make the left side better.
taking picks out of the mix, i like the framework of a Hanifin/ADA swap.

Hanifin/Trouba
Lindgren/Fox

that is a pretty nice top 4 going forward.
the wild card is how long it will take Miller and Lundkvist to emerge...which is a good problem to have.

1-he is a number 2
2-Hanifin is a number 3
3-Hanifin is a shutown d-man and we already have Lindgren who play that role. We don't need 2 shutdown d-men. What we need is 1 offensive d-man(ADA), 4 all around d-man(Fox, Trouba(if he stays), Miller and Lundkvist) and 1 shutdown d-man (Lindgren)

Pionk had good numbers too, would you put him on your 1st pairing?

Dude have you seen ADA's numbers considering he played with one of the worst d-men of the league? He basically carried his pairing every the it was on the ice this year

how do you expect the Rangers to afford ADA, Trouba and Fox all on the right side?

understood.
in my opinion the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim.

DIsagreed. I think we made his NMC start at the 20-21 season in order to be able to move him if ADA and/or Fox became solid top 4 d-man (they of course exceeded every expectation)
