Hmmmm, I think Domi would cost more than what Carolina paid to acquire Skjei tho

I disagree, I think he got stale in new york, but a change of scenery did do him some good in the total of 7 games he has played in Carolina. Carolina do this because it opens up a roster spot long term on the D core, and they find the missing piece to the top 6

I mean as I said Skjei is overpaid while Domi has a lesser chance to be that because of the cap not going up, but I'm telling you, you're winning this trade

I'm telling you, that is not the case. Skjei looked competent in the games he played as a Hurricane, don't let your fandom interfere here. Analytically, Skjei was MUCH better as a Hurricane than he ever was as a ranger.

If that's the case, then good for you. Keep him and CBO Gardiner, problem solved

Gardiner has the best analytics offensively for any canes D man not named Hamilton, that is a dumb idea. Gardiner was a victim of the Canes being overly top-heavy last year. CBO is gonna be staal. Stop being salty about the fact Skjei has stopped looking like dog crap because he left your favorite team

Skjei isn't exactly a scrub; in fact, as I've stated a million times before, I would rather keep him until the next offseason to see how he progresses with our team. In fact, if he has a really good year, I could see him being Francis's choice in the Expansion Draft instead of Bean or Fleury, which would be the best case scenario. If Bergy did offer Domi, though, I would certainly consider a deal with them.

CAR adds but the premise of the trade isn't bad at all. Also you're gonna have trouble when Svech and Hamilton and Geekie and McGinn and Dzingel and Reimer and Mrazek need new contracts next year

We're only worried about Svech and Hamilton, really. McGinn, Dzingel, and one of Reimer/Mrazek will either be dealt this offseason for picks or will be one-year own-rentals. Geekie had 2 really good games; he could be that good, or he's like Poehling or Foegele where he needs some time to adjust to the big leagues after a great start. I'm going to bet on the latter.

Hamilton will, but again, that'll only be about a $4-5M increase from his current AAV. I don't see Svech getting greater than Aho's AAV unless he absolutely kills it next season, which with his talent, is very possible. It's just that as of now, he isn't quite as good as Aho. I see Svech getting somewhere in the realm of $7.5M-$8.2M AAV on his next deal if his current numbers are a baseline.

Let McGinn go, let Mrazek go, bring up Nedeljkovic, with the semin buyout gone, there's the cap for Dougie. Svech with the cap increase and the Martinook deal coming off should be enough. It's really quite easy. Plus Reimer won't make so much on his next deal. It's easy.

Off Dougie's current AAV, it's 3.25 increase to 9 mil. It's not too much at all. Svech is the difficult one

It depends on how he does next season, as well as if Svech's agent is willing to go long-term. We'll have the room either way.

Seattle's expansion money should come in this year. That's a lot of money right there. Cap'll go up don't worry about that

just like that Byram for Price made by someone from RDS w/ the purpose of trying to recreate the Roy trade. It made the Habs and Avs fans (some of them were triggered as if it AGM post only has realistic trades) go nuts on this website lmao

Depends on the rebound and when that vaccine comes. Hopefully by the end of the year.
