I think they say yes already. Jarry's worth a 1st and Johnson is like minus a 2nd. Value is pretty fair.

I think they could do what Ottawa did with Namestnikov where they flip him at the deadline for a 3rd or 2nd rounder

A lot of it will depend on if they’re able to bring Sheary back but I think Zucker needs to be Sid’s guy long term.

Or they can just get a 2nd from Pitt for a guy that played 12 games this season. Namestnikov never missed games. He was a low risk for injury and they paid a 4th and received a 4th in a deadline trade. If I'm Ottawa I let Pitt keep him and let them take the deadline chance..

Bjugstad's a good center its just he's been injured the whole year. If he plays well in the playoffs which I have no reason to believe he won't if he's healthy I'm sure plenty of teams would be interested in him

I'd rather let Sheary walk and keep the top six Zucker-Sid-Simon Guentzel-Malkin-Rust

I’m not really sure if toronto has anything that would help the penguins because they need to shed cap rather than taking someone back. I’d really like dermott if the circumstances were different though.

Understandable. And we would be very much willing to package Dermott up for Jarry or Murray.

Gudbranson got a 4th, that's all I'm saying on this trade.
Penguins decline.
