I think the Leafs would do it if you changed Nylander to either Dach or that Chicago 1st this year.

Strictly hypothetical trade but TOR gets the defensive-minded RD they've been so desperate for, a top-6 50+ pt. winger, and a former top 10 pick capable of being a serviceable middle 6 winger. So yeah, Dach isn't being included nor is a top 10 pick.

yes and were you not the guy who just threw a temper tantrum about the overrated d coming to the leafs and listed muprhy as one of them? murphy is not the answer bad trade

sorry murphy was not one of them but marner is better than both by a landslide, dachs a center otherwise that wouldnt be bad

You've got the stones to say Murphy is overrated and Saad is washed, both of which are incorrect chirps, but hey, you do you.

Desperate isnt the right word tbh. They want that DFD, but not desperate for it. Saad was 50+ pt winger last time in Columbus. He is great two way guy but not 50+ pt guy. You know who you are getting in Marner I hope.. thats one of the best wingers in the game.

washed was strong but hes def not the player he used to be, and yes when murphy is a main piece in a marner trade, he is not good enough for that

More like slight ventilation process. I have said that people are acting like his value is top pairing D, which is not, but I think he is gonna be a good fit for Leafs for a fair price.

Saad just had one of his top 2 years of his career and Murphy the best year of his career. Clearly you didn't watch either play.

Dude, you didn't watch Saad play this year. On pace for 30 goals and he's washed??? He arguably just had the best season of his career. smh

not true for saad the 14-16/17 was better for him, and sure for murphy but how hes in the convo for a marner trade is ridiculous, like not even close

better numbers through 14-16/17, point of the matter is the trade is awful, main point through all of this

Not better then the 2015/2016 season but outside of that, if you watched Saad you'd know this was his 2nd best season on track for 30 goals and 47 points but more importantly playing a stronger two way game then ever which is what Saad is known for. As an example, a much stronger two way game then Marner or Nylander...yes they are different types of players. I don't argue the trade is bad but to say Saad or Murphy is washed or not at their peak in their careers is incorrect.

What if the player was Willy Nylander instead of Marner, serious question.

marner plays a strong 2 way game and also kills penalties, ill say it again washed was strong and a product of frustration from seeing these marner trades, and i said muprhy is overrated for all the deals that include marner, people on this ite push him to the point of beign considered overrated, and people also include nylander in all these trades thinking him and willy are gonna be the next sedins thinking that makes his value higher

Who in their right mind would trade a top 4 D, 2nd line two way forward, and a top 10 pick (Or Dach) for a $10M Marner? No one. He’s a great player but no chance.
