If it’s 1st Columbus does and Detroit doesn’t.
2nd- Columbus might, Detroit won't
3rd- Columbus might, Detroit won’t
4th- No from Columbus, maybe from Detroit.
5th- no from Columbus maybe from Detroit, I don’t think the pick can be past 4th though.

I'd probably still do it? Pretty much for anyone not named Lafreniere.

I can't see either team wanting to do this. For DET, the 1OA pick is worth a lot more than Werenski (especially in terms of contract and control, you'd lose 4 years between the pick and Werenski of control). 2OA is probably too high a value for Werenski as well (especially if its Byfield, top line Cs are very hard to come by, and having 2 is something most contenders have).

Werenski is scoring out of his mind this year (10.7% Sh% vs 7% career average) but is young enough to have that be a career trend and not an aberration. His value should be in the 3OA or 4OA range, but the contract and control aspect comes into play. For CLB, 3OA and 4OA would be the minimum asking price. DET wouldn't want to pay that, as Werenski doesn't put them over the top (it doesn't fix the 2-4 F lines) and when their window does open, Werenksi will need a new contract.

If Detroit's falls to 4th I would probably take it. The thing that most fans outside Detroit and Columbus don't know is how good of friends Larkin and Werenski. They meet up and have dinner together when they are in the others town and Fox Sports sends a camera crew with them.

Probably not, Considering that Werenski alone doesn't move the needle much for us.
