Most people on this site say hall will get 8-10. I know I know, crazy. He’s worth 6-8 IMO

I went mostly off of the NHL prospect rankings.

Hall isnt a difference maker for this team, that would be sunken cost and why would Hall want to continue playing for below average teams. Doesn't make sense for either side tbh

And Zegras is a top 3 prospect in Hockey he would 100% get an NHL look before Perfetti, who I feel like will be a winger at the NHL level much like Rakell was a C in junior but is a NHL Wing

And Sherwood doesnt get half that

This seems pretty scattered.

1. How is Sherwood worth $2.5M, and playing 2nd line? Terry seems high as well.

2. Is this team pushing for the playoffs?

3. Backes was in the lineup last year, so how did he end up in LTIR?

4. Is Jacob Larsson done now? Also Guhle, do they really need Gudas?

5. Lots of Ducks fans a re pretty excited about Comtois

6. Pretty doubtful Perfetti walks into the lineup.

1. He isnt, If he gets signed at all it would be similar to Guhles deal, I see Terry and Milano getting similar if not identical contracts to each other around 1.2M

2.No they arent

3.He's healthy so he cant be there

4.Not done but with Guhle/Djoos already signing and Mahuras presence he might be on his way out, They need RHD in general, doubt Gudas would come here though

5.Very excited, should be in the NHL this season

6.Agree 100%

Echoing my esteemed colleague @Salzy 's comments, I would only add that maybe the OP is putting Backes on LTIR to indicate a "compliance buyout." In that regard, as I've said in numerous replies to various posts, Backes only costs us $2.5 million in real money his final year, and he's a perfectly acceptable fourth-line center, so there's no need to buy him out.

@Salzy and @Barilko14 have pretty accurately summed things up, but I have a few additional thoughts:

1. The general consensus of Anaheim fans on here is that if we pick fifth, we'd choose between Lucas Raymond and Jamie Drysdale (assuming, of course, that the "Big Three" are already gone).

2. It might interest you to know that there is a general feeling that the Ducks have an internal cap somewhere around $75 million.

3. I don't think we would be trading Adam Henrique for picks in the 2021 draft. He's too valuable as a transition between the current team and what we expect to be a contending team after Seattle joins the NHL.

4. Although it's a small point, Rowney plays RW on the fourth line and Des Lauriers plays LW.

5. Thanks for taking an interest in our team!

I was thinking this morning and said, “ I’m very one dimensional. I only know a lot about teams in the Atlantic. I want to learn about other teams, namely teams in the west, and I can probably do that if I make an ACGM about other teams and get feedback from fans who consistently watch those teams.”

Yes, I knew that my first one would SUCK. But for me, the purpose of this ACGM, was to gain a greater understanding of other teams.

Thanks to all who gave a little old leafs fan feedback about your team. Cheers!

you can always look at other teams need by analyzing their offense and defense

look if they score a lot a goals or not

try to find were they need help, for example: the wild needs centers

Cole Perfetti isn't NHL ready next fall, And fat chance of Hall wasting his time in Anaheim. He'll take less AAV and term and sign with a contender not cellar dweller like Anaheim.

I have dofficulty coming up with fair and interesting trades. I am better when I analyze them

Good for you (and @Mitch1_6) to get out there and offer your opinions. You'll have to learn to separate honest, constructive criticism from the empty nastiness of people who need the Internet to buoy their self-image, but that will be a good-progressive process.

One good way to learn about another team is to run through the last dozen or so posts (by different people -- some guys post about their favorite team daily) and try to see any common threads. For example, it's my impression that Max Domi is currently the most popular Canadien traded. Currently trending are Anthony Cirelli offer sheets to a whole host of teams. The same guys always turn up in the trade boxes for Buffalo. And so on.

One last thing: you can't generalize about anybody's fan base, positively or negatively. Except that the Minnesota guys are uniformly courteous.

Good luck! The nice guys are all rooting for you.

Hah, hah! Great! You and @Shesterkin_next_GOAT have a great head start on me -- I only got interested in hockey after college, when "analytics" meant "eye test." You two will know more about the sport by the time you're 30 than I do now at 72.

Make no apologies for learning. I don't want to pass this world on to idiots.

Thanks @OldNYIfan. As I see in your profile, you have much more life experience than me and @Shesterkin_next_GOAT , who are only teenagers, so we have much more to learn from people like you, who build up and not tear down. I find so many people on this site just tear down. I try to zone them out, as they really don’t affect my day-to-day life, but sometimes that doubt creeps in. “Do I really know that much about hockey, or am I just a teen barking up the wrong tree?” Kinda thing.

I’ll try to listen more to positive, constructive criticism, instead of those people who are just out to make you look like an idiot.

Thanks again, @OldNYIfan

PS, I’ll let you know if I find that Roosevelt quote...

It shouldn't be hard; it starts out "It's not the critic who counts; . . . "

P.S. My niece, who is 12, plays junior girls' hockey in Connecticut.

Good for you! One pretty easy way to learn about other teams are podcast. You get some solid information and if they are good, they hit prospects and get some player interviews too.

This is all fun, and I know I have to check myself on some comments but most people are just passionate hockey fans. Good luck
