That bad, eh? Greenway and Gaudette's numbers are very similar and they're the same age so I didn't think it was too far off. Guess I misjudged popcorn

I don't like the Van trade at all. We already have a Gaudette with Donato. Are you trying to get Rask into the lineup as the 3C/4C?

Why trade Menell for LD version of Menell that can be a UFA in after 1 more year in college?

Just because a guys numbers don't look good doesn't mean he is bad. Greenway is a great defensive player. They may reject but your making it seem horrible

What would be the cost of greenway from the leafs perspective?

We have too many RD prospects, need a LD hence the swap. Gaudette is a young right shot center and scored 33 points in 59 games playing 12 minutes a night and didn't have great linemates. I'd like to see what he could do with more of an opportunity.

Probably something around Kapanen. He's the only player that really fills a need (right shot forward) that's even in the same ballpark as Greenway (I think the Wild add for the record)

VAN decline, Gaudette is still getting better and is a core piece for the Canucks.

It's a little bit of everything really, Gaudette did have more points while playing in 10ish less games he's also a center while Greenway is a winger which gives him more value, also Rathbone is 2 years younger than Mennel and is coming off a season where he was above a point per game in college.

They clearly value him as a 2nd line center plus Rathbone has a chance to become a legit top 4 defensemen so why would the Canucks trade all that for a bottom 6 winger and an undrafted AHL defensemen

Menell was in contention for AHL defenseman of the year, I'd rather not get rid of him for a left d. Kinda wanna see what the draft brings.

Look closer. 12 of those points were on the PP and he had heavy o-zone useage. Take away the PP stats and he's on par with Donato and Hartman, who also limited ToI and not great linemates.

Not a bad proposal. Jets I think take the deal.
Vancouver would not. As someone else said Gaudette has more value than Greenway because of position and point potential. Van would prob want a C back. But as @wabit said, Donato is kind of a similar player to Gaudette, I'd say Donato may be a bit ahead on the defensive side while Gaudette on the offensive said.
Rathbone is similar to what the wild have in Calen Addison. The Canucks already have a Menell in Rafferty who is RD and was AHL rookie dman for the year I believe.
