You are correct they do have the cap space, what they don't have is an owner that'll spend that money and Ottawa is not a sought after place for UFAs

exactly and if they did do thhis then theres no money for brady, batherson or their 2 early firsts a few years down the road

Krug and Pietrangelo aren't signing with Ottawa. Lehner wants at least 6 x $7m You can only sign Hall for 7 not 8 and he's not wasting his time with Ottawa. Hoffman gets more he'd stay with Florida if that's all he signs for.
