Philly finally get a true number 1 goalie after years of suffering just to trade him in a couple seasons? that doesn't make much sense.

Both teams say no. Philly finally got their goalie long term, and good starting goalies don't usually cost half as much

I can definitely see Philly trading the young star goalie they've been waiting like 20 years for. That definitely seems like a thing that makes sense
