No he is 100% untouchable. Larkin is a local kid and he is already being marketed as the face of the Red Wings.

Sorry. While the idea sounds great, Larkin is their core Forward. He’s the cornerstone of Detroit’s rebuild.

You can’t have Larkin and Eichel on the same team

I mean, pens have Crosby malkin, oilers have mcdavid, Drai, Toronto has Matthews, Tavares. It’s certainly possible to have a 1/2 combo punch at the level of Eichal, Larkin. But as someone said, Detroit won’t be trading larkin. He’s the current face of their franchise

Get real Larkin means as much to Detroit as Eichel means to Buffalo, Larkin is the cornerstone of our franchise a local kid and our future Captain. And those pieces are nowhere near enough for him.

I mean 7OA could be a guy like Perfetti. So perfetti and couzins for larkin is a REALLY good return.

I agree because Detroit isn't letting Larkin go. But on the US Developmental Team they played together quite a bit mostly with Larkin playing LW.

So Larkin who has played in 389 career NHL games and has 266 career points as of now, Is basically worth a potential 2C prospect in Cozens and the #7 pick. Okay bud if you say so.

Lmfao bro remove your wings bias. That’s ridiculous. Couzins is a top prospect and 7th overall in an amazing draft could net you a guy like perfetti. Both those players could very well be better than larkin. With the exception of last season, larkin has never put up first line numbers. I get his team sucks, but that’s a great return for him.

Okay dude sure, FYI Cozens is still at least another year away from the NHL and Perfetti is probably 1-2 years away. So yeah still not getting you Larkin. To suggest right now that Cozen will be any better then Larkin is purely ludicrous as there's no guarantees. Some scouts have said that Joe Veleno might be just as good as Larkin no one know's right now. We can draft Perfetti and still keep Larkin if we wish.

That’s a pretty solid offer and fair value wise. Anyone that shoots that down so quickly is just being homer. Cozens is a great prospect (wanted him or Zegras at the draft over Seider but extremely happy now) and at 8OA could snag Sanderson to help bolster that left side. Me accepting this would all depend on draft day.

I just said “COULD”. Not will. Couzins has high potential. I understand Detroit may not want to make that trade because there is such thing as too many prospects (ie. Edmonton and buffalo) but that’s very good value for him. Two top prospects for Larkin is a fair return. Just because I said it’s fair doesn’t mean wings do it

Yzerman would want a Roster Player+Prospect+2020 1st round pick for Larkin, So he'd probably want Ristolainen/Montour+Cozens+Buffalo's 2020 1st round pick #7 overall for say Larkin+Edmontons 2020 2nd round pick perhaps. Cozens+7th pick isn't getting you Larkin within the division that's not even remotely realistic.

Adding risto and a 2nd still keeps the deal balanced. Both trades are fair value.

No because you don't give up a franchise player in Larkin who has nearly 400 games played, For a guy with 0 NHL experience and another pick that's at least 1-2 years away from playing in the NHL Yzerman would want NHL ready players for Larkin. And Cozens is at least 1 year away and if we ot Perfetti at #7 he'd be 1-2 years away as well.

I could live with this, Especially if Risto would agree to a reasonable extension next summer 2021 he'd still have another season after that. Though Yzerman usually wants his Dmen to play s solid 200 foot game and Risto is bad at D.

Larkin isn’t a franchise player lol. Just cause he’s their best doesn’t make him a franchise guy. Matthews, Crosby, Eichal, mcdavid, etc... are franchise guys
