Description
WTF is ownership doing. I understand letting go GMBott...but everyone in Rochester...WTF
I thought the Rex Ryan hiring was bad, this is a really bad sign. Ownership is absolutely lying about their financial position. Zero debt on the O&G assets doesn't mean they don't have a major liquidity problem (I'm a bankruptcy advisor thanks to Adelphia back in the day).

I don't see Poile retaining that much on a Turris trade.

Columbus declines. A 4th isn’t worth 750k more on the cap. Wennberg’s buyout is only 500k. That’s the max we’d retain on him.

Ya what the heck? Chris Taylor was the reason Rochester was having success. I don't know anything about the other coachs but Taylor is great and its stupid to see him dumped like garbage. Another bad day for Sabres fans

no, we were buying AHL success with paying for vet AHL all stars. Rochester has developed two players in the last four to five years, ullmark and olofsson

Asplund, Pilut, Johansson, Borgen, Bryson, Mitts was developing well. Every AHL team pays to have AHL all-stars but still has to develop, most minor teams don't develop the kind of talent that was coming out of Rochester. Charlotte and Belleville are maybe the only two more successful ones that I can think of off the top of my head

you forgot Tage too before the injury. He was starting to turn the corner on his development once he was sent down to Roch imo. Dark days for this org. my friend

No. He was a point a game in the A starting in Jan 2020. Asplund is not too early, he had 2 solid seasons in the minors. Pilut was great but we didn't give him a chance, Johansson was one of the best goalies in the AHL, Borgen is very good and has shown good growth (hence why he invited to the US Olympic team), Bryson literally just had a 27 point rookie season and was also a ppg D in 2020. I don't understand; either you are extremely pessimistic or you really didn't look into the players in our organization. But likely both
