I like Chiasson & Puljujärvi trade but I dont think Edmonton would go for it tho.

EDM really need a Top-6F. If I was them, I would try to trade Puljujärvi vs someone that could play on my 2nd line.
Not sure if MTL would be the best dance partner.

I think the Avs do that. Essentially Jost and moving back 20 spots. If Jost plays like he did post deadline in the playoffs than probably not.

The Edmonton trade is the closest one but Lehkonen has more value then Pool Party and Kulak and Chaisson are equal so I dont know why we're giving the extra pick

Trading down from ~#27 to ~#40 while upgrading from Jost to Tatar would be a solid trade even if it's just for 1 year of Tatar, and as an Avs fan I would do that trade... UNLESS Jost has some sort of breakout in the playoffs.

It's hard, but if we want to keep all our young players in a few years, we must accept to be a little worse during that time. We mustn't sign big contracts that are more than 3-4 years unless we trade half the team.

People undervalue JP. Holland wants to add a player in top six that has all the traits JP has. Very good skater has good instincts heavy shot very very good prospect. Nothing has happened or will happen with JP until it’s determined when next season might start. Signs now not eligible to play until next year anyway. Season is almost certain to begin in Finland months before nhl so I think it’s very very reasonable to assume holland woupd prefer JP sign there first with an out clause play a few months then sign and come to camp in mid season form to get the chance to fairly compete for top six minutes. I don’t think JP is nearly as stubborn or against oilers as it’s made out to be. His agent played a HUGE role in what happened.

That’s the thing that adds value to Jost, he plays wing too. I think his best work will be done at C especially if he can get some scoring wings. I do agree with you though that his fit in MTL is probably less than ideal.

Certainly not. 20 man roster and room for one more low end player. Hall and Brodie....might be better ways to spend 14m long term.
