Bennett isn't worth a 2nd imo. He's a 3rd/4th liner

Meh. I know what he is I've watched him for years.

The point is to give him a fresh start elsewhere and to get a pick in return.

Same thing for Janko before the peanut gallery comes in with their revolutionary thoughts about how much less valuable he is than what I have proposed here lol.

I think best case scenario you turn Janko into someone who had a miserable season like Christian Fischer. Realistically though I think he’s non tendered

Hard to image that he has dropped that much in value. He needs a fresh start and there is no way a top pick like him should be a 4th liner. Just needs a change of scenery and serious summer workout regiment.

Where you are selected in the draft doesnt change what kind of player you are 5 years later. Look at Yakupov. If Bennett was drafted in the 7th round he wouldn't be worth anything an he'd probably be playing in the KHL.

Sam Bennett by his numbers is a 3rd/4th liner at best he's worth anywhere from a 3rd to a 4th round pick at best.

Bennett could probably get a 3rd from a good team or a 4th from a bad team. a pick around 90-100 overall. Nikita Soshnikov got the leafs a 4th from St Louis. I think Bennett as a reclamation project, being a former very high pick with the possibility to play center and the toughness he has shown, could get a team to take a chance on him. No way he gets a second though.

Jankowski could get about the same return. The hope of him returning to his form of two years prior is about as likely as a 3rd or 4th round pick becoming an NHLer.

If teams are smart that is all they will offer Hall and i wouldn't mind him on the team at 8x7. I think another team out there offers him at least 9 though. Id like to go after Demelo but i don't think he signs for that low. He has been making no money at all in NHL standards and will go where he gets the most money and him being a RHD at a decent age someone ill offer him more than that. I like the pick up of Leivo, we will need more RW on the team still.

You can not be serious that you are going to give up on the 4th overall pick of the NHL draft because he is mismanaged by the Flames. Some players just take longer to break through but are still worth the wait.
