Ottawa should be able to build a dynasty with all their draft picks if they do not screw it up.

I definitely think it would have to be the 3rd overall to get a convo started

Sens should just keep their picks. Drafting a stud centre is priority number one, and they're virtually guaranteed to do that at 3.

They have the picks to trade one of their top 5 picks along with the NYI's and still get Laffy and draft a center too.

I doubt you get Laf and Keep the 3rd overall pick, but if they could swing it I'd be stoked. I think they need one of Byfield or Stutzle no matter what.

Kings aren't trading the #2 pick to Ottawa unless the #3 pick is headed back.

I could see them doing the #2 & #35 for the #3 and #5 picks. Short of that, they'll stick with what they have.

Sorry I meant to say in the write up that the Sens trade with the playoff loser team which wins the 1st Overall pick.

Then that applies doubly to them. No team is going to trade away the first overall pick unless the #3 and #5 overall are both headed back.

Looking at Perfetti's scouting report he could be available with the 5th pick, if the Sens trade the 3rd pick, NYI pick and extra's to get Laffy.

If a Cup contender loses in the play in Rd but lands the 1st Overall, I can see the team trading the "free gift" to restore their Cup contender "win now" legacy.

It would've worked if the Sens' own lottery pick was the 4th overall pick because it would 100% guarantee the Kings to draft Jamie Drysdale.

I'm sure that's true, but they'll want both the #3 and #5 picks in return.

The Sens keep #3 and #5 and will have more success with those 2 stars than Laffy will be.

#3, NYI pick and an extra is plenty fair enough.

I agree with your first statement. That's why they're not going to be making this trade and will stick with their two picks.

Also, your trade proposal above has the #5 pick, not the #3 pick, being traded.
