Maybe Strome is worth a 1st+ idk but I don't think Roslovic should be the +, change it to a lesser prospect or mid round pick or something.

Avs have no need for LD as we're already overstocked at the position with Byram joining soon.

Sakic has also spoken about not wanting to trade for rentals, so I don't think Saad is on.

No way Hawks pay Jost 3.2 for 4 years. He's worth 1.5 max right now based on his play. Also Shaw probably won't play again so he can go on LTIR

Im not a fan of Jost but I get the idea there of the COL trade, I'd probably be more willing to take a chance on a guy like Mittelstadt than a guy like Jost, even though Jost has shown more overall I think Mittelstadt has a higher ceiling still but thats just my preference. Think Kubalik might get a little more on a 2 year but probably wont go over 4M. I probably would only do that WPG trade if they lost in the play-ins (assuming they dont win lotto) but I believe he has more to show and would understand why WPG fans wouldnt want to do that.

Idk, not any prospect of significant value, I think a 1st is plenty as it is to be honest.

I see a lot of Strome trades in Chicago threads. I understand why NY may be shopping theirs but I don’t understand why Chicago would be shopping theirs? Cap? Dach?...?

He's slow and really only produces with Kane or Debrincat. Also suspect on face-offs but he's too slow to play wing

He is a good player but has flaws like most players. Probably worth a 1st and decent prospect or a 2nd and roster player or good prospect

Yeah, at the cost of Kamenev.... whereas here presumably the 3rd is for him? I'm not willing to part with a pick like that for a 7D when we could sign one in UFA for free. Rykov is also waivers exempt which is a big difference compared to the older Kokkoek.

I would rather keep strome then get that back. The odds of roslovac or that pick turning into a player of stromes caliber is not that high. If WPG loses the play in I would consider (obv not if its 1st OA), but if that pick is later its not worth it

nope. I would rather keep strome. Most hawks fans would agree. 50-60 point centers at 22/23 years old don't grow on trees. Roslovic will never be that, who knows about that draft pick. If it's like 12th-15ththen I'm in but not if its like 25th.

Strome is the worst Center I’ve ever watched. His skating is terrible and he had one good season. He’s not worth anywhere NEAR what you think. He’s face offs and skating make him that much worse value. He’s a 3rd line center

No. Strome> Shmaltz. For one, in terms of ppg strome has been better in both seasons that shmaltz has. You mentioned Strome only having 1 good season. I'm assuming you are talking about last year when he had 51 points in 58 games with the hawks, .88 ppg. And assuming you're calling this season a "bad" season. This past season he had 38 points in 58 games (i'll argue it would have been a lot more is Colliton didn't have a stint of moving him to the wing where he was terrible). Thats still .66 ppg last season, the season you said he was bad and the worst center you've every watched. For context, in 18-19 shmaltz had 14 points in 17 games, .82 ppg and in 19-20 he had 45 pts in 70 games, .64 per game. As you can see, Strome was better both years even though you said he only had one good year. It seems we've both watched a lot of both of them play, so I would hope we can agree they both are not good defensivly and i'm calling it a wash. Finally, although both are listed as centers, only strome is the natural center. I've watched enough shmaltz to know he's much better on the wing. Center is obviously the more valuable position. Neighter are great in the faceoff circle but Strome is still far superior to Shmaltz (strome is about 47%, Shmaltz is 32%). You mentioned Stromes faceoffs and defence make him much less valuable, so I would hope you also hold Shmaltz to that same standard. All of this should show you that Strome has been the better player since the trade, howver i'm sure you will still mind some way to disagree
