Description

Pius Suter is a 24 year old Swiss free agent centre who said he wants to come over to the NHL and I feel like he could be a great fit on the Leafs

First off, the Leafs have a history of signing random European free agents (Mikheyev, Zaitsev, Ozhiganov, Barabanov and Lehtonen) Yes, the first 4 share an agent in the great Dan Milstein, but either way, Kyle Dubas and his management staff have their ways of bringing the players over to Toronto.

Suter said he wants to join a contending team. Though the Leafs arent exactly a contender right now, they will be a great team for many years and he fits their timeline perfectly.

It also helps that he played with Auston Matthews and Denis Malgin on the ZSC Lions of the NL

Signing Suter and Barabanov makes Kerfoot abd Kapanen expendible.

If the Blues can afford to re-sign Pietrangelo and Dunn, they may have to move Parayko. Parayko just fits the Leafs perfectly. Hes a right handed defenseman whos great defensively and has a cannon. He is the perfect partner for Rielly.

Muzzin-Weegar can be one of the league's best shut down pairs while still being above average offensively.

The "Dermotthollogist" as people like to call it was the Leafs top pair for a short stretch this season when Reilly, Muzzin and Ceci were all out because of injuries. Needless to say, they played great in that role and their chemistry goes back to the AHL when they won the Calder cup together.

No he wont be moved in general as long as they cant make room for Pietrangelo. And this doesnt.

Kapanen, Robertson and Lily for Parayko would at least get the Blues considering the offer.

I would do 2021 1st + Kapenan + liligren + SDA or Abramov. Only issue is even if see get him HTF do we keep him and rielly lul. Leafs would potentially have to move Nylander to keep both

Probably have to take one of Stl overpaid 1.5 million 4th liners or 6th Dman to help their cap problem .

Sundqvist is a good option solves our 3c problem if not would also take barbashev. In general having a 2.75 million dollar 4th liner ain't a great idea. Moving him and parayko frees 8mill in cap to keep pitrangelo

That statement is a not factual. No proof that a those players are NHL capable at all. Signing? Nice but doesn't mean much until we can see what they don on NHL ice, against NHL regulars not preseaon lineups.

Aww...yes the Eichel effect....fans believing their players are worth the sun and moon combined. I love you guys. Yet if Leafs fans make a ACGM were they trade Marner for some stiff and a 1st Rd pick we are crazy over valuing him.

Like Canes fans believing a straight up Nylander for Pesce trade is unfair to the Canes.
