Doubt it happens though, Philly seems like a cup favorite, is pretty stacked on the wings already and are fairy thin on RD already

Way too much for Dermott imo, between the cap freeze and Holl getting 2M x 3 years while playing higher in the lineup and also being older/UFA soon, can't see Dermott even making 2 million. As much as we Leafs fans love him and I think he'll be a Leaf for a long time, he has no leverave as a young 3rd pair dman without arb rights

Clifford ain't worth moving back 31 draft picks from the late 2nd to late 3rd.

Thats a fleece if Philly accepts, not that I think the current value is far off but Myers could be a force for a long time on this team while Kap is just a 3RW.

Mikheyev probably signs another 1 year deal at a cheap price since he wants to be in TO and didn't get to play a full season, he probably leaves after this next year.

Dermott is a top-4 D playing lower in lineup than he should. I hope he makes less.

Why would Mikheyev leave??

If the dates are kept the same they have 2 years of control.

Leafs won't be able to afford him with the cap not moving for 2 seasons then only going up by 1M and Rielly, Freddy and Hyman needing raises.

We all see Dermott as a top 4 D but he doesnt play in the top 4 and therefore doesn't get paid according to potential. He doesn't have arb rights and the Leafs have no cap, he'll probs sign his QO

They would be able to afford their best forward outside that top four I bet. Mikheyev is a keeper for a long time.

We'll see what kind of offers hes getting after he plays a full season and puts up 50-60 points while being solid defensively. He'll be getting offers upwards of $5M I bet and its gonna be tough to take the 2-3M the Leafs are offering

thats why you sign him to 3y/2-2.5M contract and have that out of the way. At worst he is a 3rd line 45-50 pt two-way winger. At best? Who knows. Signing him to 1y deal makes absolutely zero sense when you think about cap situation for next 3 years. Mikheyev is a Leaf for a long time.

Only thing is I think the Leafs wanna keep Johnsson as well so it'll be tough fitting everyone in

At best, one of Kerf, Johnsson, Kap go. At worst two of them.. I think they are gonna keep Kerfoot because he is center. but like.. rest is easily tradeable for good assets. We good.

No doubt, just feel like Johnsson has a lot more to give and its gonna suck to see him go. We lose a decent bit of LW depth for this season if hes traded since Robertsons likely another year away. Would be best if they could fit everyone in for 1 more year then trade Johnsson the following offseason

Mikheyev?

yes, you keep RFA status until you are 27, He's 25 with an OCT birthday.
So that would be next year and the year after.
They would have to change those dates.

All of this... We are more likely looking to move a winger for a dman than the other way around.

Yes he is good. But also has a bad injury history, okay 5 v. 5 play, and Toronto doesn't have the leverage if they were to try trading him. The max you can expect someone to pay is 2 3rds. And yes his contract isn't an over payment, but it's not "cheap" either.
